Dr. Richard J. Lee began work as a professional medical researcher but decided to pursue dentistry when he found he enjoyed more personal interaction with patients.

Dr. Lee received a Doctorate of Dental Medicine from The University of Pennsylvania in 2003 and worked as a cosmetic dentist in Miami Beach, where he focused on creating beautiful smiles. He did aesthetic procedures such as laser teeth whitening, full anterior veneers and full-mouth reconstructions. He chose to pursue orthodontics and achieved his specialty degree after completing an additional three years of residency training. Dr. Lee chose orthodontics as his dental specialty because it allowed him to help children, teens, and adults develop confident, natural smiles. Dr. Lee is currently providing top-of-the-line orthodontic care to areas of Northern Virginia and Maryland. He is active in the community and is dedicated to supporting education. He attends study clubs and lectures to local elementary, middle, and high school students about the importance of orthodontic treatment. He is also an active sponsor to local schools and teams. 

Dr. Lee grew up in Northern Virginia and enjoys the culture and fine arts in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. He plans to stay in the area for many years to come.
